We have been fortunate enough to have landed a couple of evenings to be put on by the Ruby Hall in conjunction with the South Gippsland Shire Council hire over the coming months.
The first being the Sounds of Silent is a five-piece ensemble who play live accompaniment to old silent movies. They are family friendly and have played once before in South Gippsland with great response. (here’s a link to their website – http://www.soundsofsilent.com/p/biogs.html)
They are going to perform “The General” (Buster Keaton) as well as the short film at Ruby Hall on the afternoon of Sunday, July 1 This is a matinee performance and would be the final of 3 gigs in the area that would take place over the weekend and would love to see you attend.
We also have a couple of ‘old timer’ bands that are keen to come to South Gippsland later in the year. They are the Gob-Iron String Band (https://www.facebook.com/The-Gob-Iron-String-Band-989792297766818/) and Cat and Clint (http://catandclint.com/) They are proposing to play together at Ruby Hall on the night of Friday October the 5th. So keep this date free as well please.
